USP – WHY SHOULD YOU HIRE ME?

Because complex systems do not fail due to a lack of excellence.

They fail at the interfaces.

At the handovers between specialists.

At the responsibility gaps between architecture, law, operations, and organization.

At consulting firms that send five bright minds, but no one who thinks about the whole.

In short: there is a lack of holistic systems thinking.

I BELIEVED IN SPECIALIZATION FOR A LONG TIME. TODAY I KNOW BETTER.

Like many others, I thought for years:

You have to narrow down further and further. Go deeper and deeper. One topic, one label, one niche.

Practice has taught me better.

Software architecture, cloud architecture (solution and enterprise), DevOps, governance, IT law, compliance, data, organization – these are not separate disciplines.

They are an interconnected system.

You can separate them artificially.

Then you get friction, extra costs, and political infighting.

Or you think about them together.

THE ACTUAL USP: SYSTEMS THINKING FROM A SINGLE SOURCE

I combine:

  • Software Architecture at the solution and enterprise level

  • Cloud Architecture including governance, operations, and scaling

  • Enterprise Architecture (yes, TOGAF says hello – but without the theater)

  • DevOps & Delivery as part of the architecture, not as an afterthought

  • IT Law, Compliance, and Governance as technical constraints

  • Organization & Decision Logic, because systems do not emerge in a vacuum

The result is not a beautiful target image.

It is the ability to make decisions.

THE ALTERNATIVE TO ME IS EXPENSIVE. AND SLOW.

Many organizations hire large consulting firms for exactly this interplay.

Then they send:

  • an Enterprise Architect

  • a Cloud Specialist

  • a DevOps Expert

  • a Governance or Compliance Consultant

  • a Lawyer or Policy Person

All competent.

All expensive.

And all with handovers.

I am this interface in one person.

Not because I can do everything “a little bit,”

but because I have been doing it in parallel for years – in real projects, under real pressure.

DO YOU HAVE DOUBTS?

If this profile didn’t work,

I wouldn’t be given responsibility at:

  • Microsoft

  • Zeiss

  • Daimler

  • GÖRG

  • GIZ

These are not organizations that run experiments.

I would be out of any project at the aforementioned companies in a day if I didn’t deliver from the start.

They hired and continue to hire me because they need someone who thinks about architecture, cloud, law, operations, and governance together and is responsible for decisions, not just preparing them.

SCANNER PERSONALITY AS A STRATEGIC ADVANTAGE

I am a so-called scanner personality.

In the past, that sounded like restlessness. Like being torn. Like a lack of discipline.

Today, in the age of AI, it is precisely this quality that counts. Accessing knowledge, even specialized knowledge, is no longer a problem. What is often missing are people who think outside the box. Who do not accept results with awe, but verify them. Who see connections where others only recognize responsibilities.

Scanners are creative. But not flighty.

They master fast thinking in Kahneman’s sense because they can draw on an unusually rich wealth of experience. And they master slow, critical thinking when it comes to questioning decisions, weighing risks, and thinking through consequences.

In highly complex, regulated, and technology-driven environments, breadth is not a flaw.

It is a requirement.

Not everyone understands this immediately.

But anyone who has once translated fragmentation, coordination rounds, and friction losses into negative ROI quickly recognizes how valuable scanners really are.

IN SHORT

I work for organizations,

  • that do not want to coordinate five specialists

  • that need decisions, not slides

  • that have to build, operate, and be responsible for systems

If you are looking for someone

who does not separate architecture, cloud, DevOps, governance, and law,

but treats them as one system,

then you are in the right place.
